I was born in Ukraine in 1985. At the age of 14 I emigrated to Germany with my parents. After graduating from school
I studied Fine Arts from 2007 to 2013 at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf with Marcel Odenbach.
In search of a studio space I found a store front gallery, where I gathered my first experiences in curating.
The intention to develop and support trans-generational positions led to the gallery's founding.
Since 2014 mental space provides a cross-disciplinary gallery program with openness for artistic research in fields of conventional and unconventional art disciplines. The search of in-depth substantial dialogue and critical discourse led me to the decision of expanding the classical gallery areas of responsibility to collaborations and non commercial side projects within the contemporary scene
in Europe and beyond.
In 2017 I was invited to co-curate the University Gallery Oktogon in Wuppertal. The responsibility to revive the cultural heritage of Annelie Brusten at such an extraordinary place is a great opportunity and a big challenge in terms of shaping my personal skills in curating. Artistically I work predominantly in fields of sound and performance.
